2023 AATF Media Contest Theme: 

All Around Me, La Francophonie !

Due date: December 17th 2023

* There are two competition divisions: 
  • Intermediate (grades 6-8) 
  • Secondary (grades 9-12)

* Videos/Media may be presented in either English or French (or both!). 
  • Projects using French will receive "extra credit." 
  • Obvious computer-translated media will not not receive extra credit and may loose points. 

Minium length: 30 seconds | Maximum: 3 minutes - Please disregard any conflicting information in other printed publications.


Teachers should submit ONE form for EACH video/animation entered into 
NFW Video Contest.  

* Limit FIVE per school/teacher. 

Prizes: $150 (1st) $125 (2nd) and $100 (3rd) for each level

Suggestions: In recent years, judges have noted that many videos rely heavily on France and stereotypes of the French and France (mustaches, berets, striped shirts, croissants, escargots, baguettes…). We invite you to challenge your students to look beyond the French Revolution, Impressionist artists, and Coco Chanel. Depending on the theme, integrate the Francophone world and current Francophone artists, music, clothing trends, and food.
